The Needle Galaxy NGC 4565 and in the top right NGC 4562 in the constellation Coma Berenices

Is almost directly above the North Galactic Pole (in the same way Polaris is located above the Earth's North Pole).

7 x 5 min exposures at ISO 1600,
Telescope: Scopos 560 mm, f-7
Camera: Canon 20D modified
Mount: Celestron CGEM
Giude: Lacerta MGEN autoguider

You also managed to get IC 3543,3545 and NGC 4565B in this image as well!!! Just chock full of galaxies! Very good image! I strive to shoot like this.

What Am I?     Lingering in that photo...

In that simple shot (still, I feel the bullet there)
I look, and I see a woman.

HelicaseHelio and I were always sitting on the stairs, chatting about the lamina and occasionally making snide remarks about ribosomes. There wasn't much for us to do. Our job was to simply be, and let the RNA scribble down the letters on our foreheads when they came around every once in a while. Helio was a G, I was a C. It wasn't exactly fulfilling, I suppose.
